AGEST has employed Alliance Capital to manage part of the international shares portfolio of the fund. Objective and Strategy
*The MSCI World (ex-Australia) Index with Net Dividends reinvested measures the performance of major sharemarkets around the world (other than Australia), with each sharemarket's performance contributing to the index in proportion to its relative size by market capitalization. Dividends paid by companies are included in this calculation of performance.
Strategy Alliance Capital employs a growth-oriented approach to the management of its Global Research Growth portfolios. Research-driven stock selection is the primary driver of the Trust's return. Alliance Capital seeks to invest in companies that are likely to grow faster (or sustain earnings longer) than the market consensus expects. They avoid investing solely on the basis of stock price momentum, which tends to reflect past success more than future prospects. The Trust holds approximately 100-150 stocks drawn from developed and developing nations from around the world. Regional and country allocations are a by-product of the bottom-up stock selection process, and as such, no constraints are placed on their weights within the Trust. |
