AGEST and Goldman Sachs

AGEST employs Goldman Sachs to manage part of the fund's allocation to private equity assets. Our investment with Goldman Sachs is in the international private equity sector, via the Goldman Sachs Vintage Fund V Offshore.

Objective and Strategy

Objective
Goldman's objective is to realise long-term compounded returns in excess of those available through conventional investments in the public equity markets, by providing liquidity, capital or partnering solutions to private equity investors and managers.
 

Strategy
 Goldman Sachs Vintage Fund V is a fund that makes investments in a diversified range of underlying private equity funds. It does this primarily through a process called secondary investment, whereby it purchases its fund investments from third parties.
