AGEST has employed Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) to manage part of our investments in Australian Private Equity. PEP is a leading Australasian private equity firm focusing on buyouts and late stage expansion capital in Australia and New Zealand. The firm provides capital resources, additional operating and transaction experience and an extensive international network to assist the management and leadership team of a selected business move closer to "full potential".

We are investing in PEP Fund IV and PEP Supplementary Fund IV.

Objective and Strategy

Objective
The objective of the PEP Fund IV and PEP Supplementary Fund IV is to provide investors with a differentiated private equity investment vehicle in the Australasian market with return levels well in excess of its peers.

Strategy
The core exposure of PEP Fund IV and PEP Supplementary Fund IV will typically be majority control investments with enterprise values of between $300 million and $1 billion and over across industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

This segment features companies with strong market positions and opportunities for value addition through strategic initiatives and operating improvement.
