AGEST and Turner

AGEST employs Turner to manage part of the international shares portfolio of the fund. We invest in the Concentrated Global Growth Equity portfolio, an individual mandate.


Objective and Strategy

Objective
The investment objectives of Concentrated Global Growth Equity strategy are to maximize total return, primarily through capital appreciation, and outperform the MSCI World Growth Index and/or the Russell Global Growth Index over a full market cycle.

*The MSCI World (ex-Australia) Index measures the performance of major sharemarkets around the world (other than Australia), with each sharemarket's performance contributing to the index in proportion to its relative size by market capitalization. Dividends paid by companies are included in this calculation of performance.
 

Strategy
Turner's Concentrated Global Growth Equity strategy is an actively managed portfolio of about 20 - 30 global growth stocks with capitalizations generally greater than $2 Billion. By focusing on a select number of stocks that we think offer the greatest return potential at the time, Concentrated Global Growth can generate strong results over time, in our estimation.

Individual stock selection drives the composition of the portfolio. There are no formal constraints on country weightings; however Turner is country aware in its bottom-up security selection process.
