How to join
AGEST Super is a public offer fund which means that anyone who is eligible to contribute to a superannuation fund can join us.
Joining is easy - simply choose one of the two options below.
If you are applying to join our allocated pension, you will need to select the second option.
OR
Don't forget to tell your employer that you want your contributions to be sent to AGEST Super - our choosing AGEST form can be downloaded from the bottom of this page.
Note that we cannot fully register you as a member until we receive a contribution for you, however we will write to you once we have processed your application and provide you with information about your account.
Cooling-off period
To make sure you're completely happy with the fund, members and employers have a 14-day 'cooling off' period. During this time you can apply for a refund by making a written request. To do this, you must notify us no longer than 19 days after you become a member or 14 days after you receive confirmation of membership or register as an employer.
Any money in a member's account before it is cancelled may be adjusted to allow for any increase or decrease in the investment value and tax.
Where the refund is requested by an employer and the monies to be repaid include employer contributions, the employer must nominate another superannuation entity or RSA to which the employer contributions are to be paid.
If money has been paid to the fund by or on behalf of a member, restricted non-preserved or preserved benefits must be paid to another superannuation entity or RSA as directed by the member and any other monies will be paid as directed by the member.
